I’ll admit it I have an affinity for two types of homes – French and Traditional. That’s not to say that I don’t appreciate other homes as well, but those are the two types of exteriors that immediately capture my attention. This house – The Chateau Lafayette by Garrell Associates did just that! It’s gorgeous, which then of course leads to wonder what the floor plan looks like! Check it out below!
I just love the window boxes with the ivy, the arched windows and the blue gray color of the shutters! Oh and the front doors – can’t forget those. So pretty.
First Floor Highlights: Keeping Room – I love how cozy Keeping Rooms are and how it is typically a casual space off of the kitchen. Also like the location of the Home Office. Currently we have a computer room off of our kitchen and while I liked the feature when we bought our house, I had no idea how much I would grow to love it. It is a great spot for managing dinner and either getting work done or being close by to help with homework etc. The guest room – love a downstairs guest room! Another bonus, the three car garage that allows access to both garage bays – see that little connecting area? So useful.
This plan definitely is all about the parents! If you aren’t interested in quite that much Master space, you could always re-configure the master area and make and additional room upstairs. Can you tell my husband works with builders a lot? No plan has to stay exactly as you see it. So tweaks are often doable!
