One of the first things I was told, when I rented my first apartment, was to use mirrors to enhance the space. It would make it look larger they said and “they” okay, my Mother, was right. I love using mirrors in my home and while I have yet used a mirror the size of the examples below, a recent visit to my sister-in-laws allowed me to see this in action. They wanted a more intimate dining room and preferred to have their space elsewhere in the house so they propped a mirror up on one wall and basically have room for a table and a piece of furniture. With windows running along the main wall, the mirror reflects that light and gives the illusion that the space is bigger than it actually is. Check out some examples below on how you can use larger mirrors to make your space appear more spacious.
Which space is your favorite? I have to say, the last photo with the two different sized mirrors and the fireplace in the middle, really caught my eye!
